Fresh, local, healthy and sustainable are not just today’s buzz words to Forks Farm, they’re a philosophy to live by.

The Orangeville, Pennsylvania Forks Farm is all about keeping things natural as possible, and helping nature and the environment along the way. The 85-acre farm lies upstream of the fork between Huttington and Fishing Creeks in rural Columbia County, a pretty area of rolling hills, known for its historic covered bridges. Now Forks Farm is giving folks another reason to visit here.

The pristine farm exudes a sense of well-being: animals happily roaming in a natural environment, allowed to forage for their food on land that is kept fee of chemicals. The goal is to keep the animals stress-free, and by all appearances, it’s working.

Since Forks Farm began with a small batch of pastured chickens in 1992, it has grown into a well-respected, community-supported farmer’s market.

Stop by on the scheduled Market Days and you’ll also meet other local farmers who share the same philosophy and are producing locally-grown, chemical-free foods.

Forks Farm also has a Farm Store that is open daily. Here you’ll find products from their farm as well as other area suppliers including farm fresh eggs, poultry, meats and a wide variety of farmstead cheeses (cow, goat and sheep’s milk).
