Ride the Coasters

What is a more iconic image of summer than a roller coaster?! Knoebel’s Amusement Park is just a short drive away. Within the park, experience the thrill of the modern lightning-fast steel coaster and the old-fashioned clackety-clack of wooden rails for a total of six thrilling roller coasters! Add in a 1913 carousel, an antique car ride, classic bumper cars, and over four dozen other rides and you have a super amusement park adventure.

Knoebel’s has been open since 1926 and is the oldest free admission park. Whatever your age, you will love your visit! Spend an afternoon or an entire weekend!

Hike the Great Outdoors

If getting out on the water is not your thing, a walk in the woods or a pleasant hike will make your day. Our absolute favorite place to go is Ricketts Glenn State Park, which Alltrails has ranked as the best place to hike in Pennsylvania and the single best waterfalls hike in the Eastern United States. Yes, we said waterfalls. If you complete the entire loop on the trail, you will see 21 waterfalls. There are several options for trails, ranging from easy to more challenging.

Go on a Kayak Adventure

Summer is the perfect time to get out and enjoy one of our best resources–the Susquehanna River! Can you think of a more relaxing way to spend a warm summer day than paddling along, looking for eagles, otters, beavers, or deer? Let us help you plan the day!

If you don’t have your own kayak or canoe, no worries! There are a number of outfitters that will rent kayaks, and even shuttle you to and from your starting spot!

Summer will be here soon, so it’s not too early to plan your getaway. With our list of the best things to do near Bloomsburg, PA, your planning is almost complete. All that’s left is to choose your room at our Inn. The closer we get to summer, the faster the rooms disappear.
