Stroll Through the Arts!
From 6:00 – 9:00 pm, you’re invited to take a luminaria-lit stroll along historic Market Street where you’ll be welcomed into 40 different galleries, shops, and artists’ studios. Over 50 artists from central Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley area will be displaying their art work. Many artists will be participating in the Stroll for the first time this year. Artists will be happy to chat with you about their styles, ranging from realistic to abstract, and their different media that include painting, photography, ceramics, and jewelry.
Pick up a Lewisburg Passport at any of these places, and record your travels through the arts. When you visit a specified number of businesses during the evening, you will be entered in a drawing for Downtown Gift Certificates.
Dance to the Music!
Not only can you Stroll Through the Arts, you can Dance to the Music – or just listen – from 6:00 -11:30 pm! You’re invited to celebrate the performing arts with live music at different locations along Market Street throughout the evening. Groups will be playing some of their original compositions as well as standards. All the performances are free and open to the public.
- 6:00 – 8:00 pm Lester Hirsh will perform at the Lewisburg Hotel. Known as a gifted guitarist, singer/songwriter, and poet, he performs on both a Spanish 6-string and acoustic 12-string guitar. His music ranges from classical to country, and Brazilian jazz to Flamenco.
- 7:00 – 9:00 pm Milltown Blues Band will perform at the Bull Run Tap House. The band’s name says it all.
- 8:00 – 10:00 Lawson & Disorder will perform at Brasserie Louis. Stop by to hear this trio of Larry Lawson on vocals and acoustic guitar, Joe DeCristopher on electric guitar, and Carl Kirby on upright bass.
- 9:30 – 11:30 Ann Kerstetter Band will perform at Brendan’s Towne Tavern. The band features Ann Kerstetter’s commanding vocals together with Bryan Noaker and Bill Stetz performing original compositions as well as classic rock, classic blues and Americana.
